Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of her four siblings, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Her parents encouraged her dentist parents and a teacher, who both were instructors to follow her love in the theatre. It was in stark contrast her earlier ambition to be a primatologist due to the fact that she was a fan of monkeys. The early success of her career and the rapid increase in recognition made her a promising young actor. Following her graduation and completing her studies, she took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. She was awarded the title of Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her professional career as an actor. Tautou was a student at her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and attended school there but has since renounced her Catholic education. In addition to her acting career she also was also pursuing a modeling career. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Photography is also her hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Her photography is focused on celebrities, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her fame-making debut with Amelie. Additionally, there are several photographs that show herself. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her first role in Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie was a worldwide box office hit, receiving accolades during awards ceremonies across the globe. Amelie was the highest-rated film that is French-language in the US. Following this massive success, Tautou went on to appear in a variety of films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
